Academically, Our student's are primed to thrive in competitive environments.
Academically, OVCA provides an atmosphere where God-given talents are nurtured, excellence and self-discipline are cultivated, and future goals are made and realized. Our students become intrinsically motivated to work hard. They develop a love for literature, writing, and the arts. The consistent incorporation of computers and technology in both the lab setting and individual classrooms has equipped our students for the 21st century. We also teach Bible, history, science, and math in a systematic and comprehensive way that firmly grounds our students in their own beliefs, while preparing them for life in today’s world. Our curriculum program encourages the development of reasoning and cognitive skills that prepares students for success in post-secondary education.

Standardized Testing & College Readiness Program
At Ocean View Christian Academy, a quality college preparatory education does not just focus on what is taught today, but what students will face tomorrow. One of the ways we prepare our students and adjust our aim as an educational institution is through standardized testing and a proactive college readiness program. These two tools enable us to approach the ever changing world of tomorrow on the cutting edge of academics and preparation.

FacultyTeachers are perhaps the most critical component of an effective academic program. Our teachers are selected first for their desire to love God and love others, as well as for the calling to teach that God has placed in their hearts. Their faith, background, education, personalities, and responsibilities all work together to seed the learning environment in each classroom. It is important to know that the teachers responsible for learning are qualified, prepared, and equipped to ensure academic success in their individual content areas. OVCA teachers are degreed and maintain certification through both WASC and ACSI and complete continuing education requirements to ensure that up-to-date and research based strategies are continually being implemented in our instructional program. Teachers are held accountable through a continual process of self assessment, observation, and continuous school improvement.
