THE POWER OF A POSITIVE SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT
Building Christ-like character and reaching others through healthy relationships.
Students Thrive Socially at OVCA.God created man in His image as social beings
to enjoy relationship and share His love. As staff and students crafted in the image of God, we understand that each one of us is cherished in God’s sight. As a result, our love for His creation sets the standard for interpersonal and classroom relationships.
This guiding principle permeates every area of life, from playing at recess in Kindergarten, to discovering our position on important political issues in AP Government. How we learn to relate with others is as important to our development as any other area. |

1 Corinthians 13: 1-3, 13
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profits me nothing. 13 And now abides faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Developing Christ-like Character and reaching
others through healthy relationships. Classroom learning, chapel services, service projects, and encouraging positive social interaction are all ways in which we instill Christ-like character in our students. Beginning at 2 years old, an Ocean View Christian Academy student is taught how to love others with Christ-like love through traits like respect, sharing, and patience. As a student grows through OVCA these principles are developed and expounded developing graduates who are prepared to live as citizens of heaven.
