First Day of School Meet the teacher
Hello, my name is Karina Sweeney, and I have been teaching here at OVCA for six years. I have been teaching a total of eight years (perviously in Texas, and then Irvine before that). I love teaching so much. There really is no greater joy!
I hold a dual bachelor's degree in English and Theology from Concordia University, Irvine. In 2010, I earned my California Teaching Credential, and I graduated with my Master's in Education: Curriculum and Instruction in March of 2013. Besides teaching the 6th grade class here at OVCA, I am also the Head Volleyball Coach for the high school girls and the statistician for the Lady Patriots' softball team. I am a native Californian and love San Diego with all of my heart! When I am not teaching or coaching from the sidelines, I am normally planning trips to travel the globe! |
